I just recently started trying to figure out what are the best headphones. I wanted to figure it out so I know what kind to buy for my work and home projects that are coming up. I have always just bought whatever is cheap and right in front of me when I go into the store, but I have never had good luck with headphones lasting very long. I am tired of buying as many different pairs during the course of a year as I have done over the last few years, so this will be good information to have. Maybe if I find the best headphones, I will no longer have to buy more. I am hoping to find a pair that is going to be durable enough to last me indefinitely, but I also need some that are going to work for what I need. I want to stop investing on a new pair every month. It is starting to add up to an insane number at the end of the year, and I end up with sub-standard quality with every pair I buy. Once I figure out what things would make headphones qualify as the best, then maybe I will also figure out what I need to buy without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a single pair.
